Traffic in Okeechobee County

Traffic in Okeechobee County is becoming increasingly heavy as people are returning to their homes on the coast. If you don’t need to be out, avoid the roads. Traffic on Hwy. 70 eastbound and westbound is backing up. Currently there is an accident on Hwy 70 West. Intersections at Hwy 98/Hwy 70 and the main light at Hwy 70/Hwy 441 are being operated by law enforcement to help with the flow of traffic. Again, avoid being on the roads.
