The Sheriff’s Office has been inundated with calls, emails, texts, etc. in reference to how they can help the victims of last week’s tornado. If you’d like to help with a monetary donation, material donation or volunteer, contact Roxanne Watson at (863)697-8642 or the Community Church (467-01733) in Ft. Drum. As of today, they are in need of volunteers this week for cleanup and basic repairs. The only need at this time is work gloves. Also at this time I just want to say thank you to everyone that has reached out to the victims. Although you may not know their names, Okeechobee always pulls together when one is in need.
