FUNERAL EXPENSES

On Friday, June 23, 2017 at approximately 8:12 p.m., a 911 call was received in reference to a choking child. As deputies were responding, they were flagged down by a vehicle with their hands out the window waving the deputies to stop. The child, Jonathan Pineda, age 6, was not breathing. Deputies performed life-saving efforts until Okeechobee County Fire Rescue arrived and continued life-saving efforts. Jonathan was transported to Raulerson Hospital and later transferred to another hospital.

On June 26, 2017, the child succumbed.

The family is in need for funeral expenses.
