Volunteers of the Quarter

COP Team - Jim and Bev McVeigh received the Volunteer of Quarter Award from Colonel Gary Bell and Sheriff Noel Stephen.

The dynamic duo was nominated by their Supervisor, Jack Nash, for their part for recognizing an unknown suspicious vehicle occupied by a subject going door to door within an area they frequently patrol as part of their Citizen On Patrol route. The two realized very fast that this person was up to some criminal activity and notified dispatch immediately.

With the vital description of the vehicle and subject, Sheriff's Office deputies located and arrested the subject, who had committed several burglaries in the area.

"We are thankful for your tireless dedication and I know the community appreciates all of the hard work you and all of the COP do for our community", said Sheriff Stephen while presenting the award.
